The T-DROP is an aerial system for releasing trichogramma wasps via drone, designed and manufactured in France.

The T-DROP system is available for purchase with two sizes of trichogramma egg reservoirs: 5 liters or 8 liters. You can view our conversion chart below for an estimate of each container’s capacity.
T-DROP brings together the expertise of seasoned drone pilots and specialists in crop protection. It was designed to make drone pilots’ work easier at every stage—before, during, and after flight operations. To operate our drop system, simply attach it to the drone using the various mounting points provided, then connect it to the drone to power it (5V) and control the drop. To take full advantage of all the T-DROP features (feedback and arming system), you can also connect two additional ports.
Drone-based trichogramma wasp release missions require strong flying skills—but that’s not all. The drone pilot must be able to precisely control the release of trichogramma pellets to ensure effective treatment of the plots. To this end, the T-DROP is equipped with communication, visual, and electronic modules. LED lighting allows the pilot to verify that the pellets are being released (flashing) or to indicate when the hopper is empty (steady light). Additionally, the T-DROP is equipped with counters to verify the difference between the number of pellets requested and the number actually released. Finally, the T-DROP provides real-time information to the remote pilot via its onboard electronics (drop points, flight path, number of pellets dropped, etc.), facilitating post-flight reporting.
T-DROP benefits from Skyinnov’s expertise in the design of electronic systems and aircraft control. As a result, the equipment was assembled in France using high-quality materials that were rigorously selected to withstand the rigors of repeated flights. The assembly process was also designed to facilitate repairs using replacement parts that are readily available upon request. As a result, the T-DROP system will meet the needs of drone pilots seeking a reliable and high-performance trichogramma release system.
The T-DROP tank is available in two different sizes: 5 or 8 liters. The table below provides approximate data on the spreading capacities for each tank and the type of pellets used.

The spreader requires at least a 5V power supply and an available output to control the release. You can also control the arming system using an additional output and an input for feedback.
If your drone does not have these outputs, you can use our T-Box system, which will make your dispenser fully autonomous and compatible with all drones on the market capable of carrying it, including DJI and YUNEEC drones ...

The T-DROP tank is equipped with multiple mounting points for easy installation (mounting plan provided). After the physical installation, the T-DROP power supply (5v) and the various control cables must be connected. Finally, you will have to configure the control parameters on your drone. See installation instructions.

Our system accepts starch and cellulose trichogramma beads up to a diameter of 25 mm. (e.g. AMW, bioline...).
The T-DROP comes with a choice of two tanks, both of which are interchangeable and compatible—one with a capacity of 5 liters and the other 8 liters.

The T-DROP is equipped with a digital display with 2 different counters: number of balls requested and number of balls actually dropped. The correspondence between the 2 counters allow to control that the balls were effectively released or not (empty tank...). The T-DROP is also equipped with LEDs for easy remote visual control. (the LED lights up at each bead release). If you have chosen to connect the feedback system, you will get the drop information directly from your ground station.
When the logs are no longer passing through the spreader, the LEDs remain permanently lit to inform you. (empty spreader, blockage...). If you use the feedback, you will also see it directly on your ground station.
The whole system has been designed to allow flights in the rain, provided that your drone is also able to do so. The T-DROP allows you to maintain your flight program despite difficult weather conditions.
The T-DROP system has been designed to be easily repairable. All parts are easily replaceable and available for after-sales service, upon request by email to contact@skyinnov.fr.
The T-DROP is designed, programmed and assembled by hand in Skyinnov's workshops in France. Each model is tested before shipping.
